Transistors and Sensors
A transistor is an semiconductor-based device used to switch or amplify an electronic signal. Transistors are used in almost all electronic devices. Making transistors out of flexible materials, such as semiconducting polymers, allows them to be used in flexible applications. Sensors are also used in many different applications. Making these devices out of lightweight, flexible materials (such as polymers) allows them to be used in a wider variety of applications, including bio-compatible electronics and wearable electronics.
